Principles of book selection


  1. Interest-based: Choose topics and stories that interest children to maintain their enthusiasm for reading.

  2. Language difficulty: Choose appropriate books based on the child’s age group and English level. The books should not be too difficult or too easy.

  3. Diversity: Involving different types of books, such as story books, picture books, adventure novels, etc., to enrich children's reading experience.

  4. Encourage independent choice: Let children choose their favorite books by themselves to cultivate their reading habits and independent learning ability.

"The Very Hungry Caterpillar" -- Eric Carle

This book tells the growth story of a little caterpillar, from hatching from the shell, constantly eating various foods, and finally turning into a beautiful butterfly.
